Good luck with the 4Runner. I looked for one on eBay, CL, and Autotrader, and I only found one in the entire country that wasn't being eaten by rust and was reasonably priced. And of course it was 3,000 miles away. Those things are awesome but also rarer than unicorn tears.

I’ll sell you an N/A, 5-speed, ‘88 Supra with a newly re-headgasketed engine and perfect interior (seriously, it’s really quite amazing) for $3,000. It’s surprisingly fast and is a cruise missile on the highway.

Forgot one.

That’s quite a well rounded list!
I’ve been thinking about an older Land Cruiser to set up for overland/ultimate camping. You can't go wrong.

Considering that’s an 850 looks to be a CSI, probably nah

Nah. MKII FTW.

For serial? Where?

You forgot the version of your car with two more cylinders and a prettier nose to accommodate them.

Indianapolis. We bought it, drove it about 400 miles, then the thermostat failed taking the headgasket with it. Had the head machined and the block inspected, then replaced the gasket and reinstalled it. It’s currently on a stand in the garage. The paint is a bit rough (flaky clearcoat, seems pretty common with old Toyotas), but there is no rust that we know of.

I have one of these. But it's not nearly as clean as the one in the photo.

No rust? Unicorn. Have you had a chance to drive it since getting the engine back in?

Nope, it’s on a stand in the garage taunting us. We’re just hanging tight until our new detached garage is finished. Our 2 car attached is filled with crap from the shed we had to move to make space, so we can’t do it there.

Get the Supra first

Not too rare in the PNW though.

NO (maybe)

No love for the MKII Supra? Really?

Plenty of love. But my love for the pleb Celica GT is stronger.

The MKII Supra was the car my dad had growing up so it scores mega nostalgia points. Just looks incomplete without the extended front to me.

They're impossible to find on the east coast.

Pretty much. I thought I found a decent one the other day, then I looked closer at the pics and it was being consumed by rust.
